Government proposes new MAID regulations

The federal government has proposed new laws that would require certain health professionals involved with medical assistance in dying (“MAID”) to file reports about MAID. Reports would include information such as referrals made, patients’ withdrawals of request for MAID, and whether patients who requested MAID died from other causes.  For those interested, here is a link to the regulations and a further overview provided by the government.
