WHY FAMILY HEALTH LAW™?

-We believe there’s nothing more important than health and family...

My career started in a downtown firm advising health care organizations.  I noticed that patients’ families were often left in the dark. They didn’t know where to turn or what their rights were. They felt powerless and confused. Yet, I didn’t see any lawyers helping these struggling families. I realized there was a gap and that I was well-suited to fill that gap.

WHO WE HELP

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

Specialized

We are the only law firm in Canada focused on advising and representing family caregivers in health law. We’re also among the few lawyers practicing reproductive law and fertility law in Canada. Our practice includes guardianship, substitute decision-making, fertility contracts, and health care disputes.

Simple

We don’t use legal jargon to impress you. Instead, we explain Ontario health law, mental health law, and fertility law in plain language—so you understand the advice you’re getting and the documents you’re signing.

Practical

Our clients want clear answers about health law, capacity law, guardianship law, and reproductive law in Ontario—not long academic reports. We focus on solutions that work, so you can move forward with confidence.

Accessible

We make it easy for family caregivers and individuals navigating health law to access legal advice in Ontario. We use technology to offer online legal services, virtual meetings, and digital resources, so you can get the help you need—wherever you are.

Experienced

We have deep experience in health law, mental health law, elder law, and reproductive law in Ontario. Before becoming a health lawyer, Lisa worked inside the health sector, giving her valuable insight into how hospitals, healthcare providers, and legal systems work together. We use that knowledge to help you advocate for your loved one.
